Gregory S. Smith
A partner in the firm, Gregory S. Smith concentrates his practice in counseling and litigating property insurance coverage and subrogation matters.Â He has experience in all phases of dispute resolution including trials, arbitrations and mediations.
In addition to having litigated matters in jurisdictions throughout the United States, Mr. Smith has handled numerous international property and subrogation cases for Americaâ€™s leading insurance companies.Â Mr. Smith has experience in the handling of and counseling with respect to foreign and domestic insurance matters.Â He has personally conducted or supervised investigations, examinations, discovery and litigation in many countries within Europe, the Middle East, Asia, South America and Africa.
Mr. Smith earned his B.A. degree in Government and International Studies from the University of Notre Dame in 1974 and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from DePaul University College of Law in 1977.
Mr. Smith is authorized to practice law in New York and Illinois and in the United Stated District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of New York and the Northern District of Illinois, and is a member of the Northern District of Illinois Trial Bar. Â Mr. Smith is also a Registered Foreign Lawyer in the United Kingdom.
Mr. Smith is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York Bar Association.
