Kathleen M. DeLaney

A partner in the firm, Kathleen M. DeLaney concentrates her practice on property insurance law and the defense of insurers in bad faith suits involving both personal and commercial policies.

Ms. DeLaney also counsels clients in connection with the investigation and resolution of complex property and liability insurance claims.  Ms. DeLaney’s litigation experience includes a wide variety of complex insurance coverage disputes and real estate, land use, contract and construction defect litigation.


Ms. DeLaney earned her B.A. degree in both Political Science and Psychology from the University of California, Irvine in 1994 and her J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1997.

Ms. DeLaney is authorized to practice law in California and in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Central and Eastern Districts of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Ms. DeLaney is a member of the Contra Costa County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Robert G. McGrath American Inn of Court.
