Education
Mr. Hess earned his B.A. degree in Political Science and Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2000 and his J.D. degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago-Kent College of Law, in 2003.
Bar Admissions
Mr. Hess is authorized to practice law in Illinois and in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He also represents clients in matters pending in state and federal courts throughout the country.

Matthew R. Hess concentrates his practice in the area of civil litigation, with an emphasis on loss recovery/subrogation, construction, casualty, and products liability. He also has extensive experience defending medical professionals and hospitals in medical malpractice litigation, both at the trial court and appellate court levels. Over the course of his career, Mr. Hess has served as lead trial counsel in defamation litigation and has been second chair at numerous medical malpractice trials that resulted in favorable jury verdicts.
