Matthew Fernandez Konigsberg concentrates his practice on representing insurers’ interests in first-party property coverage, subrogation recovery and casualty/liability defense matters, along with other types of commercial litigation. Before joining the firm, Mr. Konigsberg was appointed as an Assistant Corporation Counsel with the Office of the Corporation Counsel, New York City Law Department, where he held a hybrid position as a pre-trial and trial attorney defending the City’s agencies in a variety of complex civil litigation actions.

Education
Mr. Konigsberg earned his B.A. degree, with distinction, in English and Creative Writing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2002, and his J.D. degree from Rutgers School of Law–Newark in 2007. While in law school, Mr. Konigsberg served as a Managing Editor of the Rutgers Race and the Law Review, as a student attorney with the Rutgers Community Law Clinic, and completed a judicial externship for the Hon. William J. Martini, United States District Court, District of New Jersey.

Mr. Konigsberg is authorized to practice law in New York and New Jersey, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
