A partner in the firm, Renée M. Peters has extensive experience in analyzing complex coverage issues, drafting coverage opinions and defending insurance companies in property insurance and bad faith litigation. Ms. Peters was a partner at Rudloff Wood and Barrows LLP before it merged to form Foran Glennon Palandech Ponzi & Rudloff PC.Ms. Peters’ litigation experience includes conducting and defending numerous depositions, participating in all other aspects of discovery and motion practice, engaging in alternative dispute resolution, serving as second-chair at trial, and drafting appellate briefs. She has worked on matters involving multi-layer insurance programs and contractual claims in excess of $100 million. She also has worked on third party bad faith cases and other civil litigation matters. |
Ms. Peters earned her B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, with honors in 1993 and her J.D. degree from the University of San Diego School of Law, summa cum laude, in 1996. As the top graduate of her class, Ms. Peters presented the valedictory address at commencement. Other law school honors include membership in the Order of the Coif and receipt of American Jurisprudence Awards for obtaining the highest grade in several classes. Ms. Peters also served as an Editor of the San Diego Law Review and as an orientation counselor for new students.

Ms. Peters is authorized to practice law in California and in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Central and Southern Districts of California.
Honors
Ms. Peters earned the Northern California “Super Lawyer” designation on four occasions; most recently in 2009, 2010 and 2011, as awarded by Law & Politics, based on nomination, evaluation of professional achievements, and selection by a panel of attorneys in the applicable practice area. Only 5% of the total attorneys in each state receive the Super Lawyers designation.
