Overview
Andre Mentis focuses his practice on insurance coverage and medical malpractice defense, with experience in toxic tort and premise liability cases. He drafts motions and legal memoranda, performs complex legal research and keeps clients up to date on the intricacies of their case matters.
Prior to joining Foran Glennon, Andre was an associate at a Chicago firm, where he drafted client reports, motions for summary judgment, motions for non-involvement and motions to dismiss. Additionally, Andre served as a law clerk to the Honorable Justice Carl A. Walker in the First District Appellate Court of Chicago, coordinating chamber communications, performing legal research and drafting legal memoranda, Rule 23 Orders and publishing opinions

Andre is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association. He is also a member of the Texas State Bar Association.
Education
Andre earned his J.D. from Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2022 after completing his B.S. in Business Administration from Texas State University in 2018.
While in law school, Andre served as a member of the Parliamentarian Black Law Student Association, of which he was also a representative and was a semi-finalist for the Board of Advocates Mock Trial Competition. Additionally, he served as a summer intern on the labor and employment and Bank Counsel legal teams for a financial services company where he was exposed to multi-million-dollar projects and agreements; a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Brian C. Wimes in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri where he attended sentencing hearings, pre-trial proceedings, civil trial proceedings, a grand jury selection and charge conferences and as a legal assistant for a Texas firm that focused on criminal, family and personal injury law.
