Associate Charles Bogren concentrates his practice in general commercial matters including commercial litigation, bankruptcy and insurance coverage. He regularly represents insurance companies confronted with a wide array of litigation issues stemming from bankruptcy.
He also has experience working with clients in the areas of employment law, municipal law and real estate litigation.
Charles is a member of multiple sections of the State Bar of Michigan including the American Indian Law, Business Law and Litigation divisions.
Charles earned his B.A. degree from the University of Michigan in 2012 and his J.D. degree from the University of Kansas Law School in 2018.
While in law school, Charles externed with the Honorable Judge Paul L. Maloney of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan and worked as a law clerk in the Western Michigan University General Counsel’s Office. He also served as both a staff editor and business manager for the Kansas Journal of Law & Public Policy.
As a member of the Moot Court Council, he achieved a second-place finish at the Hassell National Constitutional Law Competition and finished as a semi-finalist at the National Native American Law Student Association Moot Court Competition.
Charles is admitted to practice in Illinois, Michigan, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
