Foran Glennon Welcomes Chicago Associate Tat-Yeung Shiu

Foran Glennon announces the addition of Tat-Yeung Shiu to the firm’s expanding Chicago team.

Tat centers his practice in construction law, commercial litigation, tort defense and product liability. In addition to negotiating construction contracts for private and institutional owners, he represents product manufacturers and general contractors in product liability lawsuits and construction delay and defect cases.

Prior to pursuing his legal career, Tat worked as an NCARB-certified and Illinois-registered professional architect in the Chicagoland area for over a decade. With his LEED Professional accreditation, Tat provides a uniquely knowledgeable perspective to his construction law clients.

Tat earned his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2011. He received both a B.S. and a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan.

He is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese and volunteers at the legal clinic of Chicago’s Chinese American Service League in his free time.
