Overview
A partner in the firm, Michael Errera concentrates his practice in civil litigation, with an emphasis on loss recovery/subrogation, commercial and construction claims and products liability. Michael’s experience as lead counsel in 38 jury trials, in both state and federal court, includes representation of clients on a variety of claims involving fires, explosions, vehicular losses, equipment failures, code violations and structural collapses.
Michael has also served as lead counsel in civil rights, personal injury, and coverage claims. With his broad range of experience, Michael has written articles and industry publications on a wide range of topics.

Michael has a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent® peer rating, indicating the highest ranking in legal ability and ethical standards as determined by his peers in the legal community.
Michael was included on the Illinois Rising Star list in 2013. Only 2.5% of the total attorneys under the age of 40 in Illinois earn this designation.

Education
Michael earned his B.A. degree in Political Science from Emory University in 1995 and his J.D. degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1998. Michael also obtained his AICPCU INS 21 Certification in 2000.
Admissions
Michael is authorized to practice law in Illinois and in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois and the Western District of Wisconsin. Michael has been a member of the Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois since 1999. Michael has represented clients in matters pending in state and federal court in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Wisconsin. Michael has also handled matters in Colombia, Germany and Latvia.
