Overview

Alexander J. Bialk concentrates his practice in first-party property insurance disputes and defense litigation. His experience includes the preparation and litigation of catastrophe-related first-party property claims, unfair claim practices suits and builder’s risk claims. Alex’s experience is in the interpretation and analysis of first-party property insurance policies, commercial general liability policies and completed operations policies. He brings a well-rounded insight and perspective to his current practice from having previously represented domestic insurers and international markets in investigating and analyzing exposure in first-party and completed operations insurance claims.

Alex is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association.

Education

Alex earned his B.A. degree in Business Administration, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Stout in 2011 and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the Valparaiso University Law School in 2016.

While in law school, Alex served as Committee Chair for the Steering Committee, a member of the Moot Court Society, an Honors Program Participant, a Law School Ambassador and Volunteer Income Tax Assistant for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). He also worked as a Law Clerk for the Northern District of Indiana.

Alex is authorized to practice law in Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
