Overview

Of counsel with the firm, Brian Cunningham concentrates his practice in the areas of loss recovery/subrogation, commercial litigation, products liability, construction litigation, casualty litigation and insurance coverage.

Brian has substantial experience representing insurance, corporate and individual clients as plaintiffs and defendants in a broad array of cases throughout the United States with an emphasis on subrogation and commercial disputes.

Throughout his career, Brian has recovered millions of dollars for clients via settlement, mediation, arbitration or trial in addition to defending numerous claims for construction defect, personal injury, breach of contract and warranty, trademark infringement, discrimination, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and brokers and agents liability.

Professional Leadership

Brian is a member of the Chicago Bar Association.

Education

Brian earned his B.A. degree from the University of Illinois in 1992 and his J.D. degree from The John Marshall Law School in 1996. He also received a Dean’s Scholarship at John Marshall for academic and extracurricular achievement and served as an adjunct professor teaching legal research, writing and oral advocacy to first-, second- and third-year law students.

Brian is authorized to practice law in Illinois and in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth and Seventh Circuits. He has also represented clients in state and federal courts in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin.
