Brian Micic represents businesses and insurers in a wide range of complex commercial litigation and insurance coverage matters, handling claims involving construction and design defects, premises liability, products liability, breach of contract and professional liability, as well as coverage issues under primary, excess and umbrella policies.
Brian implements a holistic approach in obtaining the best result for his clients. Brian has experience across every stage of litigation in both state and federal courts, including motion practice, depositions and settlement negotiations.
Prior to joining the firm, Brian practiced at national litigation and AM 100 firms in Chicago, focusing on commercial litigation and insurance-related matters. He litigated coverage disputes and liability claims, handled commercial litigation tied to construction, contract and tort claims, and counseled clients on coverage issues arising in bankruptcy proceedings. His work also included representing clients in arbitration and mediation and managing litigation from initial pleadings through resolution.

Education
Brian earned his J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, graduating cum laude and received his bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in Political Science and English from DePaul University.
While in law school, Brian completed judicial internships with Justice Steven H. David of the Indiana Supreme Court and Judge Edward W. Najam, Jr. of the Indiana Court of Appeals. He served as Articles Editor of the Indiana Law Journal and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers. Brian also earned Oral Advocacy Honors in the Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition and was a finalist in the 2016 Maurer Trial Competition.
