Overview
Gabby Struik concentrates her practice on general commercial litigation, leveraging experience in conducting comprehensive legal research, drafting essential legal documents and preparing case files to support clients throughout all steps of litigation.
Prior to joining Foran Glennon, Gabby served as a legal intern and law clerk for various Illinois and Wisconsin advocacy clinics, such as the Greater Chicago Legal Clinic and the Restraining Order & Survivor Advocacy Clinic, as well as government agencies, such as Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and volunteered at the Public Defender’s Office for Illinois Second Municipal District. In these roles, she was exposed to a wide range of legal matters and assisted in representing clients at injunction hearings; conducted client intakes and interviews; corresponded with clients about their legal issues; worked with attorneys to draft responses and briefings; and identified relevant case laws and state guidelines to be used in cases.
Additionally, she evaluated legislation and drafted memos for State Senator Melinda Bush’s Re-election Campaign in 2020.
Education
Gabby earned her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2024 and completed her B.A. in Philosophy, with a minor in Spanish and Political Science, in 2020 from Northwestern University. Additionally, she holds a National Society for Legal Technology (NSLT) certificate in Legal Research Technology.
While in law school, Gabby served as the community liaison on the Children’s Justice Project Executive Board, was a member of the Environmental Law Society and an editor for the Wisconsin International Law Journal where she was honored as an Outstanding 2L WILJ Member. In 2023, Gabby received a CALI award for the highest grade in insurance law.
