Overview

John Stankovich concentrates his practice in complex litigation, including products liability, property damage, transportation, construction defects and high-value commercial litigation matters in a subrogation and insurance defense context. He represents clients in state and federal courts, mediations and before arbitration panels such as the American Arbitration Association.

John has successfully recovered millions of dollars for his clients through both litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes.

Clients turn to John for his effective litigation skills and his ability to navigate high stakes cases efficiently. He works directly with insurance adjusters and independent investigators to craft personalized legal strategies, including evaluating insurance coverage applicability and maximizing recovery or defense options.

Prior to joining Foran Glennon, John served as an associate attorney at a boutique firm in Chicago where he investigated various forms of complex claims across more than 35 jurisdictions and venues.

John is a member of the Notre Dame Club of Chicago.

Education

John earned his J.D. with a concentration in Advocacy from the Loyola University School of Law in 2022 after completing his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Notre Dame in 2019.

While in law school, John was an award-winning orator for the Loyola University Chicago Moot Court Competition Team, served as a staff and senior editor for the university’s Consumer Law Review. He also gained experience in litigation and policy analysis through his summer clerkship with the City of Chicago, internship with Illinois Senator Don Harmon and externship with the Circuit Court of Cook County’s County Division. Additionally, John served as an extern for a Chicago based governmental relations consulting firm, assisting in policy research and public strategy initiatives.
