Overview
Maya Salinas concentrates her practice on general commercial litigation, representing clients in complex product liability and commercial cases, as well as arbitration proceedings. She is adept at managing all phases of litigation from pleadings to resolution and has led document review teams on high-stakes litigation, overseeing eDiscovery procedures and developing effective search strategies in identifying critical evidence. Maya also has extensive experience drafting memorandums and motions, including those for summary judgment and preparing settlement agreements.
Prior to joining Foran Glennon, Maya served as an associate at two separate IP and litigation law firms in Chicago, where she concentrated on complex civil litigation and participated in various legal and arbitration proceedings, conducted research and managed eDiscovery procedures.

Maya is an active member of the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago.
Education
Maya earned her J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2023 after completing her B.A. in American Culture and Political Science from the University of Michigan in 2019.
While in law school, Maya served as an IP clinic associate at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, preparing trademark applications, conducting clearance searches and advising clients on intellectual property matters, including copyrights and patents. She was a law clerk for a personal injury, family law and probate law firm in Michigan where she drafted motions, memorandums, summons, complaints and settlement letters for court proceedings, including appropriate suggestions and recommendations.
Additionally, she was an executive board member and auction chair for the Women’s Law Caucus and an octofinalist in the Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition and an associate for the IP Theory Law Journal.
