Overview

Michael Lustig focuses his practice on civil litigation and medical malpractice defense. He has skillfully represented clients in both trial and pretrial settings, with a proven track record in matters involving professional negligence, institutional and general liability and related issues. Michael brings a wealth of experience to complex liability issues and high-stakes litigation, having successfully defended clients against multimillion-dollar claims for requested damages.  

Prior to joining Foran Glennon, Michael was an associate at a trial firm in Chicago, where he defended professionals and healthcare systems against medical malpractice and institutional liability claims. He also gained valuable experience as a judicial extern to the Honorable Daniel Joseph Lynch, Circuit Court of Cook County, Law Division.

Michael is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and Illinois State Bar Association.

Education

Michael earned his J.D. from University of Illinois Chicago School of Law in 2023, magna cum laude, after completing his B.S. in Advertising from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2020.

While in law school, Michael served as the production editor of the Review of Intellectual Property Law and actively participated as a council member of the Moot Court Honors Program.
