Overview

Nicholas Marino concentrates his practice on civil litigation, particularly the defense of landlords and contractors in New York Labor Law, premises liability, environmental exposure, negligent security, and motor vehicle litigation, from inception through trial. He has also successfully defended clients in asbestos, lead paint, and other toxic exposure claims.

From 2007 to 2011, he was lead associate assigned to defend a multinational property owner for In re: World Trade Center Disaster Site Litigation on multiple dockets, serving as a member of the court-designated Defense Liaison Counsel, responsible for coordinating docket-wide defense strategy. Nicholas has successfully defended clients against claims involving catastrophic injuries, paralysis, and death.

Since joining Foran Glennon, Nicholas has resolved matters at trial and non-binding mediations.  He has acted both as lead trial counsel and monitoring counsel for excess insurers.  He has handled catastrophic injury cases against the leading plaintiffs’ firms in New York City.

Education

Nicholas earned his B.A. degree in Political Science from Boston College in 2000, graduating with honors, and his J.D. degree from Brooklyn Law School in 2003.
