Von Reyes

Overview

Partner Von Reyes is a seasoned litigator and concentrates his practice on construction, casualty defense and insurance coverage. He is particularly skilled at handling matters related to professional liability such as legal malpractice, bad faith matters and error and omissions claims (E&O).

Additionally, Von has extensive trial and appellate experience in the fields of construction and real estate-related litigation and other commercial torts. For example, he defends contractors in construction defect cases and mold exposure litigation arising from construction of commercial and residential properties. On the real estate side, he has handled commercial landlord and tenant disputes. In many of the E&O claims Von has handled, his clients span home inspectors, real estate agents and brokers and insurance agents and brokers. 

He has handled numerous binding and non-binding arbitrations and mediations and has also tried cases resulting in favorable defense verdicts.

Prior to joining Foran Glennon, Von served as the managing partner of the San Jose office for a boutique San Francisco-based law firm.

Von is a member of Santa Clara County Bar Association and the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California.

Education

Von earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1999 after completing his B.A. in 1996 from Santa Clara University.

Von is authorized to practice in California and the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
