Legal Secretary – Tampa

Foran Glennon Palandech Ponzi & Rudloff PC is a fast-paced insurance defense litigation law firm with an immediate hybrid opening in our new Tampa location for a Legal Secretary with at least 7 years of litigation experience.

POSITION SUMMARY

Major responsibilities include transcription and revision of legal documents, preparation of court documents for filing, calendar maintenance, deposition scheduling, and case file organization. Additional responsibilities include greeting visitors, ordering supplies, maintaining vendor relationships, submission of attorney expenses, reconciliation of monthly state court filing fees, and routine clerical duties such as copying, faxing, scanning, and mailing.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in insurance defense litigation, supporting 3-4 attorneys
  • Knowledge of filing procedures in State and Federal Court (including e-filing)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment to meet strict deadlines
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented and have excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Qualified candidates must be dependable team players capable of working with minimal supervision

This position is full-time, 35 hours/week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, with a one-hour unpaid daily lunch period. Compensation is based upon level of experience. In addition to base compensation, this position is eligible to participate in the firm’s benefit’s package which includes health, dental, vision, and pet insurance, 401(k) with discretionary profit-sharing, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and enrollment without any premiums in short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage.
