Litigation Paralegal – Chicago

Foran Glennon Palandech Ponzi and Rudloff PC, a fast-paced insurance litigation law Firm with eleven offices, seeks a Paralegal with a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in insurance coverage and/or bankruptcy matters.

Responsibilities include assisting with all aspects of litigation, including fact and expert discovery. Experience with initial drafting of disclosures, discovery requests, discovery responses, document productions, litigation holds, privilege logs, subpoenas, deposition notices, and FOIA requests is strongly desired. Responsibilities also include document reviews, organizing case files, litigation and attorney calendaring, electronic discovery and document management, deposition prep, coordination of exhibits and binders, and assisting with trial and mediation preparation. Prior trial experience is desired, which includes experience drafting and maintaining witness and exhibit lists, jury instructions, notebooks, witness management and scheduling, trial subpoenas, and coordinating with trial vendors and courts. Paralegal may also be expected to attend trials.  Limited travel may be required.

Qualified candidates must have a Paralegal certificate. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and experience with Relativity, Adobe Pro, and Westlaw is required. Candidates must be extremely detail-oriented, have excellent internet research and organizational skills, and be dependable team players with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This hybrid position is full-time, 35 hours/week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with a one-hour unpaid daily lunch period.

Compensation is based upon level of experience up to $80,000 annually with the possibility of overtime. In addition to base compensation, this position is eligible to participate in the Firm’s benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance, 401(k) with discretionary profit-sharing, Employee Assistance Program, subsidized onsite gym membership, transit benefit program, and enrollment without any premiums in the Firm’s short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance policies.
