Foran Glennon founding shareholder Douglas Palandech participated in the Willis Towers Watson Architects and Engineers (A&E) Large Firm Convocation as a panelist on June 1, 2023.
Doug shared insights with over 200 professionals in the A&E industry as part of “Negotiating Difficult Contracts/Emerging Contract Issues.” He shared strategies for dealing with challenging issues such as:
- Indemnification
- Defense obligation
- Limitation of liability
- Design contingencies
- Getting Additional Insured Status
- Retaining Ownership of Documents
In addition to discussing negotiation strategies for A&E firms, Doug and the other panelists analyzed emerging contractual issues.
For over 40 years, Willis Towers Watson A&E has provided risk management education to architects and engineers.
Doug concentrates his litigation practice on construction, design professional and legal liability, products liability and first-party property cases. He has tried numerous cases for design professionals, architects, engineers and surveyors. The contours of Illinois construction law have in large measure been shaped by the appellate decisions from the cases Doug has handled at the trial level.
