Foran Glennon shareholder Matthew Ponzi will debate and discuss appraisal issues alongside Illinois insurance policyholder attorneys during the Insurance Appraisal and Umpire Association (IAUA) Appraisal Conference on Wednesday, June 19. The conference is held June 19 – 20 at the O’Hare Chicago Westin.
As part of the balanced panel discussion, “Appraisal in Illinois – A View from Both Sides,” Matthew will discuss appraisal issues from a property insurance company defense standpoint.

Since 2009, IAUA has organized events and provided education for those serving the appraisal process to better serve the interests of all parties in a fair and equitable manner. Umpires, appraisers, government bodies and other interested parties have joined the association to gain up-to-date knowledge regarding current case law, proposed and enacted legislation and to otherwise further their professional experience.
