Read More »After a two-week trial, a jury returned a verdict in favor of Foran Glennon’s insurer client. The policyholder asserted entitlement to more than $20 million relating to the 2017 Thomas Fire in California, and alleged that the denial of the claim, for constructive total loss caused by purported differential soil settlement, was in bad faith. The jury rejected these claims in their entirety. Matthew Ponzi was lead counsel for Foran Glennon, and the case was tried along with co-counsel from O’Melveny & Myers.
