A partner in the firm, Michael Errera concentrates his practice in civil litigation, with an emphasis on loss recovery/subrogation, commercial and construction claims, and products liability.Â Mr. Erreraâ€™s experience as lead counsel in 38 jury trials, in both state and federal court, includes representation of clients on a variety of claims involving fires, explosions, vehicular losses, equipment failures, code violations, and structural collapses.Â Mr. Errera has also served as lead counsel in civil rights, personal injury, and coverage claims.Â With his broad range of experience, Mr. Errera has written articles and industry publications on a wide range of topics.
Mr. Errera earned his B.A. degree in Political Science from Emory University in 1995 and his J.D. degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1998.Â Mr. Errera also obtained his AICPCU INS 21 Certification in 2000.
Mr. Errera is authorized to practice law in Illinois and in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois and the Western District of Wisconsin.Â Mr. Errera has been a member of the Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois since 1999.Â Mr. Errera has represented clients in matters pending in state and federal court in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Wisconsin.Â Mr. Errera has also handled matters in Colombia, Germany, and Latvia.
Mr. Errera is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the National Association of Subrogation Professionals.

Mr. Errera has an â€śAVâ€ť rating from Martindale-Hubbell indicating the highest ranking in legal ability and ethical standards as determined by his peers in the legal community.
Mr. Errera earned the “Rising Star” designation in 2013, as awarded by Law and Politics. Â Only 2.5% of the total attorneys under the age of 40 in theÂ State of Illinois earn this designation.
Mr. Errera presented at the 2017 PLRB Claims Conference in Boston on the development of a viable subrogation claim arising from chemical contamination in a manufacturing process.
