Overview
Matthew Carlyon focuses his practice in areas of commercial litigation, creditor’s rights, regulatory law, business reorganization, legal ethics and insurance litigation.
Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, Matthew’s experience includes providing bankruptcy-related litigation assistance to diverse corporate entities and financial institutions and serving as litigation counsel in insurance subrogation matters.
Matthew also served as an assistant Bar counsel in the state of Nevada, where he prosecuted allegations of attorney misconduct before disciplinary panels and the Nevada Supreme Court.
Professional Leadership
Matthew is a member of the State Bar of Nevada.
Community Leadership
As an instructor at the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, Matthew taught free classes in small claims litigation.
He also served as a truancy judge for the Clark County Truancy Diversion Program where he served as a mentor to at-risk elementary and middle school students.
Education
Matthew received a B.A. degree, with honors, in Fiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago in 2008 and his J.D. from the Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2012.

Matthew is authorized to practice law in Illinois, the State and Federal courts of Nevada and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
