Overview

Justin Berg concentrates his practice on general commercial litigation, assisting clients through all phases of litigation, including investigation, discovery, motion practice, hearings, and trials. He has experience across a broad range of industries and develops solutions that reflect the legal, financial, and practical realities of each case to advocate for clients with thoughtful strategy and steady judgment.

Prior to joining Foran Glennon, Justin practiced at a Sacramento-area firm where he handled a broad range of civil and criminal matters. His work included civil litigation and defense, real estate disputes, family law matters, fraud, breach of contract, business disputes, personal injury claims, and criminal defense cases. During that time, he represented clients at trial, managed numerous hearings, and prepared substantial motion work while supervising the firm’s law clerks.

Education

Justin earned his J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law after completing a double major in Business Management Economics and Politics at the University of California Santa Cruz.

During law school, he served as a mediator through Hastings Mediation Clinic, where he mediated cases weekly at the San Francisco Superior Small Claims Court, at the Human Rights Commission, and assisted in a professional class action mediation. He also was the Symposium Editor for the Hastings Law Quarterly and completed internships with both the Santa Cruz and San Francisco Public Defender’s Offices and an externship for the Honorable Ronald Sargis at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.
