John Eggum to Discuss Complex Causation Issues in Disputed Property Claims at PLRB Claims Conference & Insurance Services Expo

Foran Glennon partner John Eggum will discuss complex causation issues in the context of disputed property claims at the 2022 Property & Liability Resource Bureau (PLRB) Claims Conference & Insurance Services Expo on March 20-22 at Orlando World Center Marriott.

In his session, John will be joined by Ryan Beck, Chief Operating Officer of Insurance Claims Unlimited, Inc. Together, they will:

  • Analyze policy provisions addressing causation, such as anti-concurrent causation provisions and ensuing loss provisions as well as trends in how courts have interpreted these provisions
  • Evaluate complex causation issues and problems of proof that can impact outcomes in disputed claims
  • Identify causation-related coverage determinations, from initial investigation to communicating coverage decisions
  • Compare multiple causes, proximate cause, anti-concurrent causation and ensuing/resulting loss causation issues

John’s sessions will take place on Monday, March 20, from 1:30 – 3:00 pm, and on Tuesday, March 21, from 3:30 – 5:00 pm.
