Foran Glennon announces the addition of partner Anna Manalaysay and associates Leah Lewis and Matthew Lee-Own to the firm.
Anna Manalaysay concentrates her practice in litigation and arbitration representing both domestic and London market insurers, reinsurers and intermediaries in disputes involving additional insured coverage, advertising injury and other intellectual property claims, business torts, environmental pollution claims and bodily injury claims.
Prior to this role, she served as in-house coverage counsel where she advised claims and legal teams on the nuances of New York insurance law, risk management, claims handling, underwriting procedures and policy rewriting. Anna earned her J.D. from Ateneo de Manila University School of Law in 2008 after completing her B.A. at the school in 2004. She further honed her legal skillset by receiving a Master of Law degree from Columbia University in 2013.
Both Leah Lewis and Matthew Lee-Own are based in Chicago.
Leah focuses her practice in civil litigation, assisting clients with multi-million dollar insurance and liability disputes related to a variety of issues, including healthcare, transportation, personal injury and contract breaches. Prior to joining Foran Glennon, Leah worked at two Illinois-based firms, where she played a key role in all facets of insurance and liability litigation, including discovery management and pre-trial motions. Leah earned her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 2020 after receiving her B.A. in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University in 2017.
Matthew’s commercial litigation practice focuses on insurance agreements, founder disputes, breach of contract actions and labor and employment actions. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a litigation attorney at a full-service, national law firm where he garnered experience handling class-action disputes. Matthew earned his J.D. from Northwestern’s Pritzker School of Law in 2019 after completing his B.A. in Political Science and Sociology in 2014 at Emory University.
