Sean Ravenel and Morgan Smith to Address Cargo Loss Subrogation at 2025 NASP Spring Conference

Foran Glennon shareholder Sean Ravenel and partner Morgan Smith will lead a discussion at the 2025 National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP) Spring Conference in Nashville. Their presentation, “Subrogating Cargo Losses Under the Carmack Amendment: A Practical Guide,” will take place on Friday, April 4 at 2:45 pm at the Omni Nashville Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.

Sean and Morgan’s presentation will delve into key aspects of subrogating cargo losses under the Carmack Amendment such as notice requirements, liability limitations and the roles of involved parties, as well as other considerations for pursuing subrogation.

Sean focuses his practice on insurance and subrogation litigation. He represents  corporate and private clients in matters arising from negligence, construction defect, product and material failures, breach of contract, boiler and machinery failures as well as other losses through both trial and appeal.

Morgan focuses her litigation practice on complex commercial, subrogation and loss recovery, product liability, mass tort and breach of contract claims. She has experience handling matters involving losses to property, heavy equipment and cargo during interstate transportation, and other high-exposure issues.
